Oconomowoc, WI, March 28, 2006 –Paragon Industries, Work Services Division, an affiliate of ORP, Inc, and a sister program to ODTC, held an open house to celebrate their new 35,000 square foot facility at 1745 Executive Drive in Oconomowoc. Paragon is a non-profit organization that assists people with disabilities through training contracts with Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, area school districts and counties to provide vocational assessment and training opportunities as well as employment. Paragon currently provides employment for over 150 people, making it one of the largest employers of people with disabilities in southeastern Wisconsin. "Over the past seven years, our steady growth in both workforce and job development opportunities, as well as the opening of our Vocational Development Center, made the move essential to continue our progress," explains Rick Block, Paragon Director. Employment is provided through a variety of subcontracts with over 100 state and local companies. The new facility allows Paragon to increase the size and amount of large scale subcontracts, larger packaging projects, commercial laundry, and other work opportunities.
Over 200 visitors attended the Open House on March 28th from 1:00 to 6:00, toured the new facility, learned about the services offered, and enjoyed great food and great company, in learning about how Paragon is continuing excellence and efforts in meeting the needs of the people they serve. |
